Water purifier suddenly “strike”? Don't panic! Hands-on teaching you to troubleshoot the problem, easy to fix!

Modern families, water purifier has become an important device to protect the health of drinking water. However, if the water purifier suddenly “strike”, it really gives people a headache. Don't worry, the water purifier problem does not necessarily mean that it is completely broken, many times just some small faults. Part.01 Water purifier completely unresponsive?  Check the power supply first!

Symptoms:
the water purifier indicator or display does not light up,
the machine does not have any sound.
There is no response when the switch is pressed.

 Possible causes:
-Power plug is loose or detached:
The power plug may be loose after a long period of use.
-No power to the socket:
Check if the outlet is energized, you can test it with other electrical appliances.
-Malfunctioning power adapter:
Damaged adapter will cause the water purifier can not be powered.
-Internal circuit failure:
If all of the above problems are ruled out, there may be a problem with the internal circuit of the water purifier.

 Solution:
-Check if the power plug is tightly inserted to ensure good contact.
-Test the outlet with other electrical appliances to see if there is power, if there is no power to the outlet, check the home circuit or contact the property owner.
-Try to replace the power adapter (if there is a spare adapter).
-If the above methods are ineffective, the internal circuit may be faulty, it is recommended to contact a professional repairer.

Part.02 No or very little water coming out of the water purifier?  Check the water source and water intake!

 Symptoms:
-The water purifier does not produce water, or the amount of water produced is significantly smaller.
-Machine running sound abnormal (such as pump idle sound).

 Possible causes:
-Water inlet valve closed: the water inlet valve was accidentally closed, resulting in no water source into the water purifier.
-Clogged water pipe: the water inlet pipe or cartridge is clogged, resulting in poor water flow.
-Insufficient water pressure: the tap water pressure is too low to push the water purifier to work properly.
-Pump failure: the pump can not work properly, resulting in no water production.

 Solution:
-Check whether the water inlet valve is open to ensure that the water source is smooth.
-Check if the water pipe is twisted, squashed or clogged, clean or replace the water pipe if necessary.
-If the water pressure is insufficient, try installing a booster pump.
-If you suspect that the water pump is malfunctioning, it is recommended that you contact a professional maintenance person for inspection.

Part.03 Water quality deteriorates when the water purifier slows down?  It may be a problem with the filter cartridge!

 Symptoms:
-The amount of water coming out of the water purifier is obviously smaller.
-The water has a bad smell or taste.
-Water purifier running time becomes longer.

 Possible causes:
-Filter cartridge reaches the service life: the filter cartridge is the core component of the water purifier, which will adsorb a large number of impurities after a long period of time, leading to clogging.
-Improper installation of the cartridge: the cartridge is not installed in place, resulting in poor water flow.
-Unqualified quality of the cartridge: poor filtering effect, easy to clog.

 Solution:
-Regularly replace the filter cartridge according to the water purifier manual (generally recommended to be replaced every 6-12 months).
-Check whether the cartridge is installed in place and make sure the seal is not damaged.
-Choose regular brand cartridges, avoid using poor quality products.

Part.04 No wastewater discharge from the waste pipe?  Check the drainage system!

 Symptoms:
-The water purifier does not produce water or the amount of water produced is very small.
-No wastewater discharge from the waste pipe.

 Possible causes:
-Clogged waste pipe: the waste pipe is clogged with a foreign object, which prevents waste water from discharging.
-Wastewater solenoid valve malfunction: damaged solenoid valve will cause wastewater can not be discharged properly.
-Improperly positioned drain port: The drain port is positioned too high, resulting in wastewater not being discharged smoothly. 

Solution:
-Check the wastewater pipe for any twisting, squashing or clogging, clean or replace the wastewater pipe if necessary.
-If the wastewater solenoid valve is malfunctioning, you need to contact a service professional for replacement.
-Make sure the drain position is lower than the water purifier to avoid wastewater backflow.

Part.05 Daily Maintenance Tips 

! Replace the filter cartridge regularly:
Filter cartridge is the core component of water purifier, regular replacement can ensure the quality of water. 
! Avoid “long standby”: If you don't use the water purifier for more than 3 days, we suggest you disconnect the water and power, and drain the water for 2 minutes after restarting the water purifier. 
! Avoid direct sunlight: the water purifier should be installed in a cool place to avoid direct sunlight leading to machine aging. 
! Regularly check the water pipe: check whether the water pipe is leaking, twisted or clogged, and deal with it in time.
! Water leakage inside the machine: When you find water leakage inside the machine, immediately disconnect the power and water and contact the after-sales service! 
! No water production after replacing the filter element: no water production after replacing the filter element, may be installed incorrectly, need professional personnel to check.

Water purifier suddenly “strike” is not terrible, as long as the above steps one by one check, most of the problems can be easily solved.
