Good or bad air quality directly affects people's normal life, but now the air pollution index in most cities is very high, people's living environment is seriously threatened, and many people suffer from diseases because of air pollution. These are more tragic costs. In order to improve such a phenomenon, many people at home will buy air purifiers, unknowingly air purifiers are popularized to every family.

As we all know, the main role of air purifier to purify indoor air comes from the filter. When purifying the air, the filter screens out the harmful substances in the air and releases clean air. In this process, the filter will gather a lot of dust and bacteria, which not only affects the service life of the filter, but also causes secondary air pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain and clean the filter. Today we'll talk about whether the air purifier filter can  be cleaned, and how to clean?

Pre-filter

Pre-filter is mainly used to capture larger particles, such as dust and hair, which can extend the service life of HEPA filter and activated carbon filter and reduce the trouble of frequent replacement. The filter at the front of the air purifier is usually reusable. It is generally responsible for filtering hair and large particles. First place the filter under running water and gently brush the surface with a soft bristle brush or sponge. It can be cleaned with a neutral detergent or soapy water, avoiding detergents that contain acidic or alkaline substances. Then rinse the filter with clean water to ensure that all dirt and cleaning agents are thoroughly rinsed away. Rinsing can be repeated several times until the filter is completely clean.

Composite cartridge

Composite cartridge: dust on the surface of the cartridge can be sucked up by a vacuum cleaner. It is usually cleaned every 1-2 months, and the cleaning time can also be judged according to the accumulated usage time. If the original white filter is found to be blackened, it must be replaced as soon as possible. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the filter when cleaning. The cleaning methods of the composite filter element are as follows:

Gentle rinsing: Use water or low-pressure water flow to gently rinse the surface of the filter element, avoiding the use of hard objects or high-pressure water guns, so as not to damage the structure of the filter element.

Soak to remove stains: For stubborn stains, soak the cartridge in a special cleaning agent or white vinegar solution for a period of time, and then rinse with water. However, it should be noted that not all cartridges are suitable for this method, which should be operated according to the material of the cartridge and the manufacturer's instructions.

Natural drying: The cleaned cartridge should be placed in a ventilated dry place to dry naturally, avoid direct sunlight or high temperature baking, in order to prevent deformation or damage to the cartridge.

Activated Carbon Filter

Activated carbon filter can adsorb odors, chemicals and harmful gases in the air, such as formaldehyde and benzene. For newly renovated houses, activated carbon filters can effectively improve indoor air quality. Activated carbon filter: according to the frequency of use and pollution conditions, generally one or two months to take out to remove the dust on the surface, exposure to the sun for more than 24 hours, helps to restore the active adsorption capacity of activated carbon.

Photocatalysts and Cold Catalysts

Photocatalysts and Cold Catalysts: the formaldehyde decomposition layer is usually combined with activated carbon. As most of the air pollutants have been intercepted by the primary and high efficiency air filter screens, the formaldehyde decomposition layer is needed to filter and decompose bad odors, formaldehyde and other harmful chemical gases. In principle, there will not be a lot of dust. When cleaning, you can use a rag to gently wipe, and then put it in a dry and ventilated place to be dry before use.

Negative Ion

Negative Ion: The ionizer is usually built-in and does not need to be cleaned.
