The current water purifier market is full of competition, and the types of water purifiers are also dazzling. There are front water purifiers, faucet water purifiers, kitchen water purifiers, sprinkler water purifiers, water softeners, etc.At present, membrane separation technology is commonly used to filter and purify water. Membrane separation technology is usually divided into four categories: microfiltration, ultrafiltration, sodium filtration, and reverse osmosis.
Today I will show you what types of water purifiers are available, and what are the filtering effects of various water purifiers?

1.Microfiltration(MF)
The filtration accuracy is generally 0.1-50 microns, common PP filter elements, activated carbon filter elements, ceramic filter elements, etc. belong to the category of microfiltration.Used for simple coarse filtration to filter large particles of impurities such as sand, rust, etc. in the water, but it cannot remove harmful substances such as bacteria in the water. The filter element usually cannot be cleaned. It is a disposable filter material and needs to be replaced frequently.

2.Ultrafiltration(UF)
The filtration accuracy is 0.001-0.1 microns, which is one of the high and new technologies in the 21st century. It is a membrane separation technology that uses differential pressure to filter out harmful substances such as rust, sand, suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, and macromolecular organics in the water, and can retain some mineral elements that are beneficial to the human body.It is the core component in the production process of mineral water and mountain spring water. It is not easy to be blocked and has a relatively long service life.

3.Nanofiltration(NF)
The filtration accuracy is between ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis, and the salt rejection rate is lower than that of reverse osmosis,it is also a membrane separation technology that requires power and pressure, and the water recovery rate is low. Generally used in the manufacture of industrial pure water.
4.Reverse osmosis(RO)
The filtration accuracy is about 0.0001 micron. It is an ultra-high-precision membrane separation technology using differential pressure developed in the early 1960s in the United States. It can filter out almost all impurities (including harmful and beneficial) in the water, and can only allow water molecules to pass through. It is generally used for the production of purified water, industrial ultrapure water, and medical ultrapure water. The reverse osmosis machine is also referred to as the pure water machine, commonly known as the RO machine. General products have 5-stage filter elements, and some high-end water purifiers contain 7-stage filter elements.

So the best water purifier depends on personal needs.Just choose according to your needs.
