The water purifier relies on the filter element to play the role of water purification! Different types of filter elements have different filtering effects! Therefore, we have to understand the type of filter element. At present, the mainstream water purifier filter elements are divided into four types: PP cotton, activated carbon, ultrafiltration membrane, and RO membrane.
PP cotton filter element: It is usually used as the first-stage filter to play a coarse filter function, which can filter out the visible objects such as sand, suspended solids, rust, etc. in the water. The service life of PP cotton filter element is generally 3-6 months.

Activated carbon filter element: mainly absorbs different colors and odors, residual chlorine, etc. in the water. The service life of activated carbon filter element is generally 8-12 months.

Ultrafiltration membrane filter element: The filtration accuracy is generally 0.01 micron, which can remove rust and organic matter and other impurities in the water, and can retain mineral elements in the water. The service life of the ultrafiltration membrane filter element is generally 16-24 months.

RO reverse osmosis filter element: the filtration accuracy is generally 0.0001 micron. Only water molecules can safely pass through the RO membrane, which can filter out inorganic salts, bacteria, viruses, etc. from the water. The service life of RO membrane filter element is generally 18-36 months.
